The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology of Cambridge University, covers a wide and exciting array of activities ranging from quite fundamental research in biology through to the traditional fields of chemical engineering. In particular, the Polymer-Fluids group at the Department focuses has 14 members and is involved in a number of research projects dealing with Multipass rheometers, Microcapillary films, Carbon nano tubes, Oscillatory flow mixing, Biofuels, Ink jet technology and Image archiving. An important part of the Departments’ research portfolio is the commercialisation of research and an increasing number and success of spin-out companies have grown out of the research activities and projects in which the department is involved.
